FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION BILATERAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
The Federal Bilateral Education Scholarship Awards offer Nigerian students the opportunity to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies abroad. Here are the details:
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BILATERAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP AWARD.
Undergraduate Scholarships: 7 Distinctions (As & Bs) in Senior Secondary School Certificates, WASSCE/WAEC (May/June). Certificates should not be more than two years old. Age limit is 17-20 years.
Postgraduate Scholarships: First Degree with 1st Class or at least 2nd Class Upper Division. Completed N.Y.S.C. Programme. Age limit is 35 years for Masters and 40 years for Ph.D.

Undergraduate: WAEC/WASSCE & NIN Slip
Postgraduate: 1st Degree Certificate, NIN Slip & NYSC discharge or exemption Certificat
HOW TO APPLY FOR THE 2025 BILATERAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
1. Visit the Federal Ministry of Education’s website and click on the Federal Scholarship Board ICON.
2. Read the guidelines and complete the application form online.
3. Print the completed application form.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Undergraduate Level – Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine (very limited), Pilot Engineering, Neurologist and
Postgraduate level (Masters Degree and PhD) in all fields.
GENERAL NOTE TO ALL THE APPLICANTS:
Since the BEA countries are non-English speaking, applicants should be prepared to undertake a mandatory one-year foreign Language course of the Country of choice which will be the standard medium of instruction;
All applicants for Hungarian Scholarship can apply for up to two fields of study in order of preference, and must visit the website which was opened Middle November to close 15th January, 2024.
Complete the application form online
. All for Russia should visit the website which is open.
. All applicants for the Russian Postgraduate Scholarship must have acquired their 1st Degree in Russia.
. All documents are to be uploaded on the Russian Application portal and must be properly scanned in PDF format.
All Applicants are to upload the required certificates online.
- NB: Candidates nominated by the Board will be required to submit to Federal Scholarship Board the following:
- . Authenticated copies of academic certificates;
- . Data page of the current International passport;
- . Specified Medical Reports from Government hospitals;
- . Birth Certificate & Indigene letter.
- . Police Clearance Certificate where necessary.
