
WACSI Next Generation Internship Program 2025
The West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) is pleased to announce its Next Generation Internship Program, designed to provide young West Africans with practical experience and skills in leveraging technology for social impact.

Internship Details
WACSI, with support from the Ford Foundation, is inviting young graduates or civil society actors from Nigeria and Ghana to apply for its 6-month Next Generation Technology Internship Programme. The program aims to equip young West Africans with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive social change in the region.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the WACSI Internship, applicants must:
1. Hold a minimum of a first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related fields.
2. Demonstrate commitment to WACSI’s vision and values and a strong interest in civil society.
3. Possess excellent technical, writing, and communication skills.
4. Show proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and Cloud computing tools.
5. Demonstrate knowledge of digital marketing and data analysis tools.
6. Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
INTERNSHIP BENEFITS
The WACSI Internship is a fully funded opportunity that provides:
1. A flight ticket to and from the intern’s home country.
2. Furnished accommodation for the duration of the internship.
3. Lunch during working days.
4. A monthly stipend.
5. Practical experience and skills in leveraging technology for social impact.
Internship Duration and Requirements
The internship period is from February to July 2025. Interns are expected to:
1. Commit to WACSI for six months.
2. Produce a practicum and end-of-internship reports.
3. Develop a technology action plan for implementation pertaining to West Africa/Civil Society.
The successful Nigerian intern will spend a substantial part of her/his internship working at the WACSI office in Abuja, Nigeria while the successful Ghanaian intern will spend substantial part of her/his internship working at the WACSI office in Accra, Ghana.
The internship period is from February to July 2025.
It is expected from the intern to produce a practicum and end of internship reports and a technology action plan for implementation pertaining to West Africa/Civil Society by the end of the internship period.
